Dr Marsland

Dr Marsland is a Consultant Dermatologist on the GMC specialist register. Only doctors who are on the specialist register are allowed to apply for substantive NHS Consultant posts and register with private health insurance companies such as BUPA or AXA PPP. This reflects the many years of general and specialist training that they have undergone to become experts in their fields.

Dr Marsland attended Medical School in Edinburgh where he graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Medical Sciences. He undertook postgraduate medical training in Edinburgh and in the Hammersmith Hospital, London. He has received formal training in the dermatology units in Edinburgh and Manchester.

Dr Marsland undertook a one year fellowship in Medical University of South Carolina in a world-renowned centre for urticaria research and treatment, and has set up a successful tertiary urticaria clinic which supports ongoing research. He has been asked to lecture at national meetings for allergists and UK dermatology consultants. He is a member of the North West Allergy and Clinical Immunology Strategy Board.

Dr Marsland enjoys all aspects of general dermatology including dermatological surgery. He is happy to receive referrals for all skin problems and aims to provide comprehensive, holistic, personalised care in a dignified and safe environment for all patients from cradle to grave.
